What can be treated with acupuncture?
Traditional Chinese Medicine is a holistic approach to health and can offer benefits to virtually any type of condition. Here is a partial list of the conditions treated.
How do I know it's right for me?
Acupuncture is a natural form of treatment that is free of chemicals and toxins. When performed by a licensed practitioner, it is very safe and has no side effects. For that reason it is suitable for men, women and children.
Are the needles painful?
The acupuncture needles are very thin and cause minimal pain upon insertion. In fact, 18 acupuncture needles can fit INSIDE a hypodermic needle (the needle that's used for drawing blood.)
The needles are sterile and disposed after one use.
how often should I be seen?
When you wish to treat a condition and reduce your symptoms, it is recommended that you be seen twice a week to achieve the best results.
For maintaining your health and preventing disease it is recommended to be seen between once a month and once every four months. This depends on your age and your health.
The number of treatments that are required depends on the severity of your condition and how long you have been suffering from it. If you've been having symptoms for 3 months or more, it is considered a chronic condition and may take longer to treat.
Does INSURANCE cover acupuncture?
Yes. Most insurance companies have some type of coverage. I can help you verify your benefits by calling your insurance.
